Made in Camden - A Music Walking Tour of London

Welcome to Camden, the undefinable and eternally individualistic railway town on the ‘wrong side of the tracks’, where hard times, good stories and extraordinary talent met to create a musical phenomenon.

Inspired by the fantastic new documentary series from Disney +, we’ll start from Camden’s earliest days when the Irish trad musicians who came to build the railway lines filled the many pubs with songs from home, surrounded by burning coal fires and booms of heavy industry. Moving backwards and forwards in time, you’ll discover Camden Lock, the Roundhouse, wander down into the winding labyrinth of the Stables markets, past the dingy bars where legends were made, raucous after hours kebab joints where jazz singers held court and gig venues where infamous feuds were fuelled.

The music born here has provided the soundtrack to decades of change so walk with us in the footsteps of Amy Winehouse, The Clash, Madness, The Libertines, Yungblud and so many more icons as our gifted storyteller waxes lyrical on psychedelic rock, Brit pop and English folk, the sounds of the synthesiser and the snarls of the punks, via the Irish navvies and Victorian music hall stars who laid the foundations for them.
