Dream of the last Anglo-Saxon king and a flagship of the Church of England, Westminster Abbey is a tour de force of 1000 years of both English and British history.
This spectacular Medieval gothic ‘royal peculiar’ has hosted every coronation from William the Conqueror to Elizabeth II and seventeen royal weddings, most recently that of William and Kate. It is also the burial place of many royals and notables including feuding Tudor siblings Elizabeth and Mary, writers such as Geoffrey Chaucer, Rudyard Kipling and Charles Dickens, scientists Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking and Charles Darwin, abolitionists, actors and the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Marvel at the 700 year old coronation chair as you learn more of this most sacred and complex ceremony, admire the craft of 16th century stonework, the portraits of modern martyrs and the grand Henry VII Lady Chapel.
Using a special entrance to skip the line, your private guide will give you an unparalleled 2 hour insight to this very British emblem and its place in the last 1000 years of our turbulent yet extraordinary history.

Wonderful tour. Tour guide was Nathan. He met us at the Tower of London. He accompanied us on the river Thames and walked with us to St. James park. He was so informative. He shared so many interesting facts and details of the city. Truly one of the best tours I have taken and I can easily recommend this tour and Nathan. Hope to tour with him again in the future.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Churchill Tour Not To Be Missed! Richard was our guide. He was humorous and very well versed in the history of London and how it pertained to WW2 and Churchill. He did an excellent job painting an accurate picture of Churchill and highlighting the spots in London that pertained to this time period. I highly recommend this tour and booking with Richard if possible!Posted on Getyourguide![]()

Einfach tolle 2 Stunden !!!!Posted on Getyourguide![]()

The guide would talk with his back to us, with buses and bagpipes and cars going by so I and many of the group missed half of everything he said. He needed to gace us and speak up or better to have an audio for all to use the hear him.Posted on Viator![]()

The definitive WW II tour of London. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Francis, a retired Bobbie with an expansive knowledge of life and history. An engaging storyteller, he blended wit with energy and knowledge to make this a tour you must take when in London. We loved it, and will hope to get him again when we return.Posted on Viator![]()

Changing the Guard You will not be next to the palace, but you will see the guards exit their residence and march to the palace. Then you will walk down the mall and pick a place to watch them march to St. James palace, get inspected, and return to the palace. You will be very close to the guards, and the mounted police. Don't step into the street or you may get run over. Sundays are the absolute best, with the fewest crowds! The photos were taken from about 1000 feet away - showing the throng of people at the palace, who never got close to the guards, and only saw a bit of the ceremony, so I recommend this tour.Posted on Google![]()

So informative we loved it! Our guide Francis was excellent and his knowledge and personal stories of the area were great. I only wish there were headphones available. The noise in the area made it difficult to hear even though Francis did his best to avoid the nosier spots. In all fairness it was raining pretty hard which added to the city noise.Posted on Google![]()

**Absolutely fantastic tour!** This was easily one of the highlights of our time in London. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history, and brought the stories of **Winston Churchill, World War II, and London during the war** to life in a way that was fascinating from beginning to end. We’ve visited London many times, but this tour gave us an entirely new perspective on places we had walked past before. The combination of the **war memorials, Churchill history, personal stories, and historical context** made everything so much more meaningful. We learned a tremendous amount without the tour ever feeling like a history lecture. The pacing was excellent, the stories were memorable, and our guide was wonderful at answering questions and keeping everyone engaged. Even the teenagers in our family really enjoyed it! **If you love history—or simply want to understand London and its role during WWII on a deeper level—I cannot recommend this tour enough. A must-do in London! 🇬🇧**Posted on Viator![]()

Churchill War Rooms Our guide Richard for the Churchill War Rooms was amazing. While the tour thru the war rooms is a self guided audio tour, I felt prepared and was able to focus on some items that I wanted to know more about, based on Richard's guidance. His passion for Britain and history was very obvious and enjoyable. Thank you!Posted on Google![]()

Excellent way to follow the changing of the guards process and then tour Buckingham palace. Paul our guide was very informative and humorous, he explained clearly all the important details about the palace and different houses that the royals used and currently use. It involves walking with lots of peoplePosted on Tripadvisor![]()

The walking tour is worth the time!! We were afraid the walking portion of this tour would be just a bunch of dates and facts BUT IT WASN’T! Thanks to Nathan! His enthusiasm, knowledge and sense of humor made the tour a lot of fun! The Churchill War Rooms tour was also amazing! The Churchill museum portion is also interesting, but a little hard to navigate your way through and it is overly dark so it is difficult to read some of the display plaques.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()
